Our Story
Lick Ice Cream began as a simple idea on a cool evening in Melbourne, Australia—a city famous for its café culture and daring food scene.
Standing in line for yet another “classic” scoop, we wondered: what if ice cream could be something more—crafted with the same care as artisan coffee or small-batch wine, but designed for the heat and rhythm of island life?
That spark grew into a dream.
Research sessions turned into late-night kitchen experiments. We explored Italian gelato techniques, Thai tropical ingredients, and the science of texture—searching for a way to create ultra-smooth ice cream with intense, natural flavours while reducing excess sugar and heavy fats.
By 2025, that dream carried us across the ocean to Koh Samui, Thailand, where warm breezes and exotic fruits offered endless inspiration.
Here we built a small, purpose-designed production kitchen that blends cutting-edge freezing technology with old-world craftsmanship. Our method locks in flavour and creaminess while staying gentle on ingredients—no shortcuts, no compromise.
Today, Lick Ice Cream is more than a scoop shop.
